ROLE OVERVIEW
Rawafed Private School is seeking a passionate and qualified Psychology Teacher to join our secondary school team. The successful candidate will deliver engaging, inquiry-based lessons aligned with the American curriculum, fostering critical thinking and emotional literacy among senior students.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan, deliver and assess Psychology lessons for Grades 11 and 12 in line with American curriculum standards

• Create a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and discussion

• Design assessments, projects, and research-based tasks that develop higher-order thinking skills

• Monitor and track student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback

• Support students’ social-emotional wellbeing through a psychologically informed teaching approach

• Collaborate with counsellors, homeroom teachers and the school leadership team

• Contribute to extracurricular activities, parent meetings, and staff development sessions

• Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or related field (Master’s preferred)

• Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, B.Ed, or equivalent)

• Minimum 2 years of teaching experience at secondary level

• Strong knowledge of psychological theories, research methods, and case studies relevant to high school curriculum

• Excellent communication and classroom management skills

• Experience with the American curriculum is a strong advantage

• UAE teaching licence or eligibility to obtain one

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Prior experience teaching AP Psychology or equivalent

• Experience working in international or multicultural school environments

• Background in student counselling or social-emotional learning
