ROLE OVERVIEW
Rawafed Private School is seeking a forward-thinking ICT Teacher to inspire and equip students in Grades 5 and 6 with essential digital literacy and computational thinking skills. The successful candidate will deliver a technology-rich curriculum that prepares students for a rapidly evolving digital world.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Plan and deliver engaging ICT lessons for Grades 5 and 6 aligned with the American curriculum

• Teach topics including digital literacy, coding fundamentals, internet safety, software applications, and data handling

• Design practical, project-based tasks that develop problem-solving and computational thinking skills

• Assess and monitor student progress across both practical and theoretical components

• Maintain and support the school’s ICT resources, labs, and equipment in coordination with the IT team

• Integrate technology across the curriculum by supporting other teachers with digital tools

• Promote responsible and ethical use of technology and online safety among students

• Stay current with emerging technologies and continuously improve lesson content

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Education Technology, or related field

• Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, B.Ed, or equivalent)

• Minimum 2 years of ICT teaching experience at upper elementary level (Grades 4–6)

• Strong knowledge of coding languages suitable for upper elementary students (e.g. Scratch, Python basics)

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and educational technology platforms

• Excellent classroom management and communication skills

• UAE teaching licence or eligibility to obtain one

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with robotics, STEM education, or maker-space activities

• Certification in Google for Education, Microsoft Educator, or equivalent

• Experience teaching within the American curriculum framework
